02. Our services
We provide:
- Plant Hire – including excavators, dumpers, rollers, and more
- Transport Services – delivery, collection, and logistics for plant and heavy materials
- Contracting Services – groundworks, site clearance, and associated contracting work
Our services may be subject to additional specific agreements depending on project scope.
03. Quotes & bookings
- All quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- A booking is only confirmed upon written acceptance (email is sufficient) and/or deposit payment where applicable.
- Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
04. Payment terms
- Payment is due within 30 days of invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We reserve the right to charge late payment fees in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- Payment methods accepted: Bank transfer, BACS.
05. Cancellations & delays
- You may cancel a service up to 48 hours in advance without charge.
- Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover incurred costs.
- In the event of a delay caused by you (e.g. site not ready, access issues), we reserve the right to charge waiting time or reschedule.
06. Health, saftey & site conditions
- You are responsible for ensuring safe, level access for deliveries, collections, or on-site plant operation.
- If conditions are unsafe, we reserve the right to postpone or decline service without refund.
- All operators provided by us are trained and competent. Please ensure all site rules and safety measures are communicated in advance.
07. Liability & insurance
- We maintain public liability insurance to a minimum of £5 million.
- We are not liable for:
- Delays outside our control (e.g. traffic, weather, third-party disruption)
- Damage caused by misuse of equipment or operator negligence not attributable to us
- Customers are advised to maintain appropriate site insurance and risk assessments.
08. Use of hired equipment
- Equipment must only be used for the purpose agreed and in accordance with safety regulations.
- You are responsible for hired plant from the point of delivery until collected, including loss, theft, or damage.
- Daily checks and proper operation are expected; contact us immediately in case of malfunction.
09. Website & content use
All website content, branding, and media are the property of Optimus Group unless otherwise credited. Unauthorised use or reproduction is prohibited.

We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and issue a full response within 10 working days. If your concern requires a longer investigation, we will keep you informed throughout.
11. Force majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, labour disputes, extreme weather, or government intervention.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
